Inspired by the words and actions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “We Shall Overcome” showcases repertoire from across African American music traditions that electrified generations of civil rights activists with interwoven spoken word from Dr. King’s recorded speeches. Musical Direction by composer and pianist Damien Sneed. This event is the 40th anniversary of Gettysburg’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration.
