Step back into 1842 with the daughter of Elizabeth Ann Seton, Catherine, and her contemporaries.
1842 was a pivotal year in the life of Catherine Seton. She returned to Emmitsburg for the first time since her mother’s death in 1821 to explore her childhood home. On this living history tour, you’ll get a glimpse into mid-19th century life as you see the legacy of Elizabeth Ann Seton make a life-changing impact on her daughter.
For years, Catherine lived an extravagant, yet unsettled life that included time in Europe. You’ll witness Catherine’s transformational visit as she interacts with old friends and comes face-to-face with the memories and legacy of her mother, and questions about her own future.
