This photograph shows Anna Elizabeth Reichle (1886-1960), in her wedding dress. She wore the dress at her wedding to the Rev. Julius Grover Cleveland Knipple on September 10, 1916. The portrait was by the Mumpher Studio, located in Gettysburg.

Did you know?
The Rev. Mr. Knipple graduated from Gettysburg College in 1910, and he taught for two years at the Gettysburg Academy. He graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg in 1915. He served his first pastorate in Lemasters, Pennsylvania. He then went to Tressler Memorial Lutheran Church in Loysville, where he was pastor for 30 years, according to his obituary in The Gettysburg Times in January 1964.
