Wine, Cheese & Art: An Evening of Art Education

Attendees will get an in-depth tour of the two current exhibitions at Schmucker Art Gallery:  Getting There, an exhibition of paintings, prints, and works on paper by contemporary artists Andrew Ellis Johnson and Susanne Slavick,  examines the contradictory fears and hypocrisies, ignored histories, and punitive policies surrounding migrants and refugees today.  Artful Nature and the Legacy of Maria Sibylla Merian, curated by Emily Roush ’21 and Shannon Zeltman ’21, features original eighteenth-century prints by the naturalist and scientific illustrator Maria Sibylla Merian  and her followers.

This is  a free event.  Attendees will also have a chance to win one free ticket to An Evening with Jamie Ford Best Selling Author of “Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” and “Sweet and Love and Other Consolation Prizes” on September 20th.
