Looking to experience small-store shopping in Gettysburg? Start at Fresh Boutique on Chambersburg Street. First, take a selfie on the red “Hello Gorgeous” bench outside the shop, then venture inside, where you can peruse a variety of unique items that can’t be found in a big-box store.

Shoppers can find stylish women’s clothing, jewelry, shoes, and fragrances, as well as men’s apparel, gifts, and baby items.

“Basically, you can walk in here and outfit yourself from head to toe, including a coat,” says boutique owner Shelley Knouse.

Beautiful Clothing and Accessories

Customers can browse on their own or schedule a one-on-one session with Knouse. In these sessions, she helps customers personalize their wardrobe with outfits they love.

“I really like working with people that have an event that they’re planning or even just their work wardrobe,” says Knouse. “I like putting things together for them that make them feel good about themselves and that also fits their personality.”

Childhood memories inspired her to open a boutique in town. “When I was a kid, my dad used to bring me and my sister to downtown Gettysburg for Christmas. We would shop for my mom in all the little stores in town, then we would go to the Lincoln Diner for a sundae,” she shares.

Since opening Fresh Boutique seven years ago, Knouse says she is now living her dream.
