Winter Auditions Announced for Professional and Volunteer Singers

Gettysburg, PA — Winter auditions are now open for both professional (paid) and volunteer singers for the Spring 2026 season with The Gettysburg Choral Society, Inc., which is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization composed of auditioned singers who utilize their talents to pursue excellence in choral music performance.

Auditions are by appointment and will be held on the following dates:

• January 12, 2026| 6:30–8:30 p.m.
• January 31, 2026| 2:00–4:00 p.m.

Interested singers should contact the organization with their email address to receive a pre-screening questionnaire and more audition information.

Auditions are encouraged for singers who:

• Read music
• Have choral experience
• Demonstrate strong vocal accuracy, tone quality, blend, and range
• Possess good sight-reading skills (strongly preferred)
• Are18 years of age or older

Please note: singers who cannot read music will not qualify.

Spring 2026 Schedule (Required Attendance):

Selected singers must be available for the following dates:

• Rehearsals begin March 2
• Mandatory Saturday rehearsal:April 18
• Dress rehearsals:May 12 and May 18
• Spring concerts:May 23 and May 24

Professional Singers (Paid Positions):

Highly trained, preferably degreed professional vocalists are invited to audition for paid positions, with particular need for tenors and basses.

Professional singers must:

• Maintain excellent attendance
• Arrive fully prepared for all rehearsals and performances
• Submit a resume as part of the application process

A stipend will be paid upon successful completion of the semester.

How to Schedule an Audition:

To request an audition appointment, interested singers should contact the organization and include:

• Voice part
• Choral background
• Description of vocal abilities
