HABPI’s 6th Annual “Ride for Trails”

This bike ride will take place on Saturday morning, September 25, 2021, beginning and ending at the Gettysburg Area Recreation Park. Three different routes are being offered to accommodate riders of all experience levels. All rides will travel through the Gettysburg National Military Park (pending permit approval) and over the picturesque Sachs Covered Bridge. The longer rides will also wind their way through the quiet roads of southern Adams County.  To make this event complete, a lunch is provided after the rides.

Preregistration is available online until noon on Sept 24.  Ride-day registration is also available and opens at 8:00 a.m.  The cost is just $35 for pre-registered riders and $40 on the day of ride.  A free BBQ lunch is provided starting at 11 a.m.  A t-shirt is included in the price of registration for those registering by Sept 1.

Proceeds will be used to design, develop, and maintain trails and bike routes in Adams County.  HABPI is currently pursuing several trail projects including the next section of a bicycling path in Gettysburg called the Gettysburg Inner Loop as well as a multi-use trail from the Gettysburg battlefield down to the Maryland border that would make up a portion of a larger trail system known as the Grand History Trail.
