She’s also a small business owner, a classically trained artist, an avid home cook and recipe tester, a gadget enthusiast, and an ardent AI lover. After living in Colorado for 3 years, she has recently returned to Adams County to set down new roots.4 Articles

Rachel Kimmel

Rachel Kimmel is an editorial intern with Celebrate Gettysburg. Even though the 2020/2021 timeframe hasn’t been a typical internship, she has adapted wonderfully. From Fort Loudon, Pennsylvania, she is currently a student at St. Bonaventure University. When she is not writing for CG, you can find her breaking records and winning medals in the breaststroke. Rachel also enjoys reading historical fiction and laughing too much with friends.4 Articles

Jessica Knouse

Jessica Knouse is a native to Adams County and grew up at the Round Barn Farm. A problem solver at heart, she is also great at making connections and finding creative solutions to her writing assignments. She lives with her husband in Gettysburg, along with her dog Freddy Mayonnaise. She has three stepdaughters: Kiera, Delanee and Allana.3 Articles

Darrin Youker

Darrin Youker is a freelance reporter based in East Berlin. Writing from a lovingly restored early 1800s home, he has contributed to Celebrate Gettysburg for over a year. Darrin has written for newspapers in New York and Pennsylvania along with several regional and national magazines on a freelance basis. In his free time, he enjoys anything outdoors, including hiking and kayaking.2 Articles

Jessica Rudy

Jessica Rudy is a freelance writer and editor who started her journalism career in 2007 at the Gettysburg Times. As a journalist, arts marketer, musician, fiber artist, historian and occasional improv comedian, she uses her work to advocate for the power of creativity and storytelling to grow deep, lasting connections in communities. She lives in Fairfield with her husband and daughter and their cats.2 Articles

Casey Martin

Casey Martin, photographer, has been with CG for more than 15 years. In addition to being our right-hand photography man, Casey also owns Copper Cabin Kennel, is an approved photographer for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, and competes in steer wrestling competitions­­—whew, we are tired! Pictured with Casey is his daughter Cassidy, who he describes as “the smartest kid and most beautiful soul I’ve ever had the pleasure to spend time with.”1 Articles

Kelsey Kinard's images have graced Celebrate Gettysburg for the past eight years with her largest contributions being towards the wedding and women’s issues. In addition to being the owner of Lovefusion Photography, she is also blessed with a loving husband, two cats, and lots of interests. You may find her hiking, doing martial arts, or playing music and singing.1 Articles

Melissa Ring

Melissa Ring is an award-winning fine art portrait photographer and most recently a contributor to Celebrate Gettysburg. This Wonder Woman can craft up a storm, Photoshop almost anything, or faux-marble a kitchen counter. There isn’t much she can’t do! Melissa lives in Littlestown with her husband and three daughters. In additon to her creative talents, she is also passionate about volunteering at her children’s schools.1 Articles
