Where music, community and summer meet
By Kylie Stone
Summer in Adams County wouldn’t be complete without the return of the Arts Oasis, now entering its fourth season in the heart of downtown Gettysburg.
Located on the southwest corner of Lincoln Square, this lively outdoor venue brings together music, community and creativity through October.
What began as a small stage—developed through the Gettysburg Borough’s parklet program and a partnership with Ploughman’s Cider taproom to accommodate their live music events—has blossomed into a dynamic hub for locals and visitors alike. The project thrives thanks to the collaboration between the Adams County Arts Council (ACAC), local government, and area businesses and nonprofits.
This year’s season promises a rich lineup of regional talent, including returning favorite Faith Noel.
A Nashville recording artist and two-time CPMA winner, Faith will take the stage on Saturday, July 14, and Saturday, October 11, from 1–4 p.m.

Between her East Coast tour dates, the Gettysburg native says she cherishes the chance to perform at home. “I love performing on the Arts Oasis stage in the center of my hometown,” she says. “It allows live music to be heard and supports local musicians without the hassle of a cover charge or seat. And you never know who may be listening to you out there … like Graham Nash [of Crosby, Stills and Nash]!” The legendary musician surprised Faith with a visit during her 2022 set while in town for a performance at the Majestic Theater.
In August, the Arts Oasis hosts performances as a venue for the Gettysburg Rocks festival, held August 22–23. This popular event features a wide variety of acts to raise money for the Penn State Four Diamonds Fund in support of children battling cancer.
Thanks to generous support from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the J. William Warehime Foundation, Destination Gettysburg, Celebrate Gettysburg, The Taney Corporation, Guernsey Beat Records and other supporters, the Arts Oasis has become a summer staple. Free live performances take place every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday—welcoming everyone to relax, connect and enjoy the sounds of a thriving arts scene in Adams County.
