George Spangler Farm Civil War Field Hospital Site: Summer Season Opening Weekend

The George Spangler Farm Civil War Field Hospital Site will open for the summer season on Friday, June 8 through Sunday, June 10. Reynolds’ Battery living historian encampment will be on site for demonstrations this weekend.
The George Spangler Farm Civil War Field Hospital Site is a great weekend discovery and a must see for families. The Field Hospital Site will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 8 through August 12, 2018.
More than 1,900 wounded Union and Confederate soldiers were hospitalized and treated here. Living historians help you discover the stories of the soldiers, surgeons and civilians of Gettysburg–just minutes from the battlefield.
The Spangler Farm site is accessible by shuttle only. Tickets may be obtained the day of your visit to the Spangler Farm or in advance. Tickets are available at the Ticketing Counter inside the Museum & Visitor Center and online. The shuttle travels to and from the Museum & Visitor Center three times each hour beginning at 10 a.m. with the final shuttle returning to the Visitor Center at 3:20 p.m.
Access to the site requires the purchase of a shuttle ticket.
