George Spangler Farm Civil War Field Hospital Site: “Season Closing Weekend” presented by Rex Hovey

Rex Hovey, living historian representing his great, great-uncle, Dr. Bleecker Hovey, who was a surgeon here from New York at the site in July, 1863. More than 1,900 wounded Union and Confederate soldiers were hospitalized. Living historians help you discover the stories of the Friday, August 12th, Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th only with access via shuttle from the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center.
