“January at the Hanover Area Art Guild means many things…new year…new art and of course the annual Demo Day. Saturday January 19th from 10 AM -3 PM there will be artists demonstrating how they do what they do, and the public is invited to stop in and see the artists in the process of creating. Do you have questions? They have answers! Always wondered how a watercolor artist gets such vibrant colors or muted tones from the same paint palette? How do dried floral arrangements stay true to form and colors remain bright? What makes a plein air artist decide where to set their easel down in a field and focus on a particular area for a painting? How do artists get started and how do they stay inspired-these and any other question you may have can be answered by our friendly local artisans. The free event is a way for the public to get out from the cold dreary winter, see something they might never see, or maybe even better…get inspired to create something themselves! Stop by the Art Downtown Gallery at 32 Carlisle Street Hanover PA 17331 from 10-3 on January 19th and see a new exhibit of members artwork and what inspires you.”
