Art from The Drawing Room

Artwork from the four artists of the Drawing Room in Gettysburg — including Hanover’s

Charlotte Yealey — is featured during September at Art Downtown.

Yealey’s work is well known in the area; she’s a long-time member of the Hanover Area Arts Guild

and has served as its president.

“My passion for art and animals goes back to grade school days when my main subjects in art

projects were animals that I saw on my family farm,” Yealey says on her web site. She studied at the York

Academy of Arts, as well as with Tom Lynch and Claudia Nice.

Three colleagues  — Rebecca Brown, Amy V. Lindberger and Claire Beadon Carnell — from the Drawing Room also will display work at Art Downtown in September.

The exhibit can be seen during regular gallery hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-7

p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. As always, the gallery is free to visit.
