Free and open to Adams County ResidentsTo welcome Adams County residents back to the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, the Gettysburg Foundation and Gettysburg National Military Park invite residents to a Community Appreciation Day on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019. Adams County residents enjoy free admission to the Cyclorama painting, Film and Museum Experience at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center.
Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center Offers Adams County Residents Free Admission to A New Birth of Freedom Film, the Gettysburg Cyclorama Painting with Sound and Light Effects and the 12-Gallery Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War
Visitors can start with a film presentation of A New Birth of Freedom, immediately followed by the sound and light show on the spectacular 377-foot Cyclorama painting of Pickett’s Charge completed in 1884. Then visit the 12-gallery Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War. The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center is located at 1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Presidents’ Day Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.―the last film and cyclorama show will begin at 4 p.m.
Local visitors should be prepared to show proof of Adams County residence, e.g., a driver’s license, to obtain tickets.
